After years of wasting money on cheap $119.99 bikes from your local big chain stores I finally decided I had enough rough riding & spent a few extra bucks on the Diamondback Wildwood. Day 1 review is awesome! This is the lightest bike I ever owned, it is very stable and it rides as smooth as a lincoln town car. I swear, even if you have a good road bike to go out riding with your friends, this is a great second bike for enjoying local family fun time. I mostly chose the bike myself because it is a cross between a road bike & a mountain bike, so I can ride the streets in my neighborhood & cut through the parks with ease as well. I searched for the right comfort bike at the right price. I ride maybe 40-50 miles per week and had a 30 year old Schwinn hybrid (the Mesa Runner) and was looking for something more comfortable at a good price. I looked at the Raleigh Venture and Specialized Expedition -- both very nice bikes, but I did not want to spend that much ($400-500). I also looked at the Schwinn Suburban at Sears, which I believe is similar in quality to the Coronado model -- OK bikes, but no choice on frame sizes and a seat that would not lower sufficiently. I ran across the Diamondback Wildwood at Dicks for $379 and really liked the fit and quality. I found it on Amazon for more than a hundred dollars less and ordered it. I had no problem assembling it in about an hour. If you have no experience with bike mechanics, you might want to get someone to assemble it for you. I found it well packaged. When I purchased this bike I read all the details including the full featured warranty. After owning a Diamondback response sport for over four years and enjoying it very much, I didn't hesitate buying another product from them. This was a mistake. Not only do I now have a bike that has had a problem with the rear axle since day one, I learn that if one buys a diamondback bike "in the box" there is NO WARRANTY! I am now stuck with a sub-standard product and am not happy about it.
